Cook County Land Bank Authority
The Cook County Land Bank Authority acquires, holds, and transfers interest in real estate properties throughout the county to promote redevelopment and reuse of vacant, abandoned, foreclosed or tax-delinquent properties and support targeted efforts to stabilize neighborhoods. The CCLBA is the largest land bank by geography in the country and is governed by a sixteen-member Board of Directors appointed by Cook County Board President.
CCLBA has canceled meetings on short notice several times in the past year.

The first step toward participating in a public meeting is knowing when and where it is, and getting context on the decisions it’s been making.
Public Comment
The Illinois Attorney General has said that all public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act must provide an opportunity for members of the public to address public officials at open meetings. Public comment periods offer an avenue for people to support or oppose policy decisions and provide information that might not otherwise be represented in a meeting.
